Tibetan clothing has a long history, with traditional attire from various regions sharing many similarities. The basic characteristics include a wide waist, long sleeves, a broad lapel, and right-side fastening, with leather and pulu (a traditional woolen fabric) as the primary materials. Tibetan clothing is often adorned with items such as coral, agate, cat's eye stones, and pearls. A typical Tibetan outfit consists of an undershirt and pants, topped with a Tibetan robe, and a bangdian (apron) wrapped around the lower body. Due to differences in geographic environment, historical development, and local customs, aesthetic preferences and traditions vary among Tibetan communities.
